Bio:

Sherri Jones is a dedicated workforce development professional whose diverse career has left a lasting impact across industries and communities. Her passion for empowering others began early—at just 16, Sherri designed a pre-apprenticeship program in partnership with her township, providing opportunities for students from a local alternative high school. This early experience set the foundation for a career marked by innovation, adaptability, and a deep commitment to service.
After earning her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Business from Lincoln University (PA), Sherri started her professional journey on Wall Street as an editor for an environmental law firm. Her career later shifted toward community activism and entrepreneurship, where she founded a nonprofit focused on youth programs in urban communities and served as a business coach for small and mid-sized enterprises. Sherri’s entrepreneurial spirit also led her to become a business owner, real estate investor, and former real estate developer, experiences that continue to inform her leadership and strategic thinking.
A pivotal moment in Sherri’s life came when she became the primary caregiver for her mother during her battle with ALS. This experience profoundly shaped her professional approach, inspiring her to coach adults across the country virtually and to serve as an adjunct instructor in workforce development and continuing education at Southside Virginia Community College and later Gaston College.
