Morgan Romeo is the Executive Director of the Greater Roanoke Workforce Development Board, where she leads a regional mission to connect employers, job seekers, and community partners into a cohesive workforce ecosystem that fuels economic growth. A strategic builder at her core, Morgan transforms workforce challenges into tangible opportunities, linking businesses to skilled talent and individuals to meaningful career pathways through innovative partnerships, targeted funding, and forward-thinking training solutions.
With more than a decade of dedicated experience in workforce development, she has championed initiatives that accelerate business growth, strengthen talent pipelines, and expand access to opportunity for individuals who face the greatest barriers to employment. Before stepping into her current leadership role, Morgan served as Assistant Director of the Piedmont Workforce Network, where she advanced workforce priorities across Central Virginia.
Morgan’s influence extends well beyond her region. She currently chairs the Virginia Workforce Association, holds membership in the U.S. Workforce Association, and serves on the Executive Committee as Talent Taskforce Chair for the Blue Ridge Partnership for Health Science Careers. She also contributes to the Roanoke Region Continuum of Care Board and advises multiple Career and Technical Education committees, reflecting her deep commitment to building systems that work for everyone.
A proud University of Virginia graduate, Morgan calls Vinton, Virginia home, where she lives with her husband, son, and their dog. When she’s not reshaping the region’s workforce landscape, she can be found on the soccer field coaching the next generation and giving back to her community as a board member of the Vinton Booster Club.
