Bio:

Mari Kay-Nabozny is the Chief Executive Officer of the Northwest Wisconsin Workforce Investment Board, where she leads workforce efforts across ten rural counties—and yes, that means a lot of miles, meetings, and meaningful impact. She studied Outdoor Education and Native American Studies at Northland College and earned her Master of Education in Parks and Recreation Management from University of Minnesota–Twin Cities in 2002.
By day, Mari is a connector, problem-solver, and champion for both people and businesses. She works closely with employers, nonprofits, schools, and local leaders to build workforce solutions that actually work—helping individuals find great careers while making sure employers can grow and thrive.

Before becoming CEO in 2012, Mari spent seven years as Chief Information Officer for the Wisconsin Workforce Development Association, where she helped bring workforce systems into the modern age (and probably fixed a few things along the way).

Mari is known for her energy, creativity, and ability to bring people together around big ideas. Whether she’s launching new initiatives, supporting her team, or finding solutions in rural communities, she leads with heart, hustle, and a strong belief that opportunity should be accessible to everyone.
