Adam Campbell

Adam Campbell is the Dean of Career and Technical Education at Heartland Community College, where he provides leadership for a broad portfolio of programs spanning business, information technology, skilled trades, and emerging energy and transportation technologies. His work centers on ensuring these programs remain responsive to both student needs and the evolving demands of the workforce.

In his role, Adam fosters strong collaboration among faculty, staff, and industry partners to help students develop practical, real-world skills that lead to meaningful career opportunities. He is also deeply committed to expanding access to education by creating flexible pathways that support learners at all stages of life—from those entering the workforce to those seeking new directions.

With nearly 20 years of experience in higher education, Adam brings a background that includes teaching, program development, and statewide work in career and technical education. He remains actively engaged in the community through his involvement with the McLean County Chamber of Commerce and Junior Achievement, supporting efforts that connect education with local workforce needs.
