Nominee Bio-
I hold a Masters Degree in Public Administration from CMU. I am currently the Center Director for Payne-Pulliam School in Detroit Michigan. I have committed over 30 years to the profession of Workforce Development, working hard to consistently develop and acquire knowledge of the industry, and elevate my skills. During my tenure as a leader in the WD profession, I have successfully led; progressive, critical-thinking, innovative , and cultivating programs in the city of Detroit. 

What is your vision for the workforce development profession?
My vision for the workforce development profession is to enhance the region’s economic stability and prosperity, focusing on the customers we serve in the community utilizing a human centered design.


Do you have a particular interest area or passion in workforce development?
I have a passion for cultivating a top quality workforce, and aligning the program with the needs of the organizations across the country. I am dedicated to transforming lives and my organization has helped thousands of families through the schools platform and through my outside involvement in the community


Why do you want to serve on the Board?
I have the proven expertise of managing a successful workforce program for over 20 years, including fundraising and community relations. My skills and experience can help increase the impact of NAWDP and further its mission. My goals align with the NAWDP organization, and I can commit the time required to fulfill my responsibilities as a NAWDP Board member.

What do you think is the biggest challenge facing the profession today and how can NAWDP address that challenge?
Some of the biggest challenges facing the workforce profession today include ; support and resources to local workforce development processionals, aligning workforce development to cutting edge skills and employer needs, and moving the profession to a digital workplace. NAWDP can continue to address these challenges by providing; A platform for needed training and support, provide data driven coursework, provide a networking platform and provide risk management knowledge resources.
