NAWDP strives to develop the professional capacity of workforce professionals by offering a wide variety of applied learning opportunities.
Available to members and non-members alike, our in-person and live online events provide continuing education programming aligned with the industry's identified core competencies, job functions and specialty practices. However, members receive discounted pricing and enhanced access to online programming and resources.
Each year, NAWDP hosts two conferences providing hands-on workshops aligned with designated learning tracks: the Annual Conference in the Spring, and the Youth Symposium in the Winter. For specific dates, please refer to our Calendar listings.
In addition, NAWDP has always offered a wide variety of online "e-learning" opportunities to enhance the continuing education options available to workforce development professionals. In 2018, NAWDP is revamping its approach to e-learning, beginning with a catalog of on-demand courses available to members only. While our webinar platform is built, NAWDP is curating a full complement of live and on-demand courses that reflect the needs of our membership. Members will be notified as the schedule of live webinars develops, and these webinars also will appear in the Calendar. It is anticipated that we will be ready to go with new "e-learning" opportunities in September.
To further support our members' professional development goals, NAWDP is developing the guidelines around which we will offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for our educational programming. To receive CEUs from NAWDP, you must register and maintain an online profile on this site, regardless of your membership status. As our CEU program is finalized, more detailed information will be provided.
