WEST PLAINS, MO, September 6, 2024 – The National Association of Workforce Development Professionals is pleased to announce that its members have approved proposed changes to the Association’s bylaws. In a recent vote, 85% of participating members supported the proposed changes.

“The Board of Directors for NAWDP plays a crucial role as we work to connect, advance, and support our nation’s workforce development professionals,” said Melissa Robbins, NAWDP Chief Executive Officer. “These changes are designed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of NAWDP’s Board of Directors, reflecting our commitment to adapting and improving in response to the evolving needs of our members.” 

The newly approved revisions will take effect during upcoming national Board of Directors elections, in 2025 and 2026. The regional elections, taking place in 2025, will now have six positions available, and the state elections, occurring in 2026, will feature 15 state positions. 

All current regional and at-large directors will serve through June 30, 2025, and may run for reelection in their new regions. Current state directors will serve through June 30, 2026.
