West Plains, MO, June 17, 2026 – The National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP) today announced the appointment of three State Directors to serve on the NAWDP Board of Directors for a three-year term starting on July 1, 2026.

In accordance with NAWDP’s bylaws, states that receive no nominations during regularly scheduled elections are eligible for appointment by NAWDP’s Board Chair.

“The Board of Directors are a vital part of NAWDP’s goals to advance workforce development,” said Melissa Robbins, Chief Executive Officer for NAWDP. “The three individuals appointed by our chair will bring diverse experience, knowledge, and leadership to our board.”

During the 2026 State Board of Directors Election, the states of North Carolina, Oregon, and Virginia did not receive nominations. NAWDP Chair, Dana Keller, has appointed the following to serve in these seats through June 30, 2029:

  • Oregon
    • Georgia Conrad
      Executive Officer and CEO, Oregon Workforce Partnership
  • Virginia
    • Morgan Romeo
      Executive Director, Greater Roanoke Workforce Development Board

NAWDP’s Board of Directors represents an extensive community of more than 5,500 workforce development professionals from across the nation, contributing their time and resources to advance the profession of workforce development. Directors set the goals and objectives for the association, plan and approve the association’s budget, and develop new initiatives for the organization.
