The U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration (ETA) has issued Training Employment Notice (TEN) #21-24 to announce the immediate implementation of President Donald Trump’s Executive Orders (EOs) titled, “Ending Radical and Wasteful Government DEI Programs and Preferencing,” issued on Jan. 20, 2025, and “Ending Illegal Discrimination and Restoring Merit-Based Opportunity,” issued on Jan. 21, 2025.
This notice requires all recipients of federal financial assistance awards to immediately cease all activities related to “diversity, equity, and inclusion” (DEI) or “diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility” (DEIA), consistent with the requirements of the EOs listed above. All other award activities should continue.
ETA will issue further guidance on specific activities that are allowable and unallowable and NAWDP will continue to keep you informed of any new issued information.
