May 28 | 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm CDT
Join us in this session to learn more about Medicaid program and its potential role as a sustainable funding stream for apprenticeships. This session will provide an overview of the Medicaid program, its role in mental healthcare, and key federal policy developments over the last two decades that shape the current context. It will also explore Medicaid’s role in both sustaining mental health professions grounded in shared-experience and reimbursing training costs. We will also explore the structural and policy alignment necessary to build toward collaboration between apprenticeship sponsors and the Medicaid program.
The second half of the session will focus on Reimagining Healing. During this part of the webinar, we’ll take a forward-looking approach by examining how new Medicaid provider classifications can be leveraged to respond to the growing youth mental health crisis. Together, we’ll explore what it takes to align apprenticeship models with Medicaid structures to create scalable, impactful solutions for young people and the communities that support them.
