
Advance your expertise with an endorsement to your CWDP. CWDP endorsements recognize Certified Workforce Development Professionals for advanced knowledge and skills in key focus areas of the field. Earning an endorsement demonstrates your continued commitment to professional growth and positions you as a subject matter expert within your organization and the broader workforce community.
The current CWDP Endorsements offered includes:
- Business Services: You may earn the Business Services endorsement through attendance at NAWDP’s Business Services Academy. You must have an active CWDP certification to earn the endorsement.
CWDP Recertification with Endorsements
Maintain your professional edge and keep your CWDP and endorsement active. Recertification is due every three years from the date your certification was originally awarded. It demonstrates your ongoing commitment to professional development and excellence in workforce development.

If you’re recertifying an endorsement, first complete your CWDP Recertification Application before starting your endorsement recertification. Review the CWDP recertification requirements, submit that application, and then return to this page to complete your endorsement recertification.
Grace Period & Inactive Status
CWDPs have a 30-day grace period following their certification expiration date to submit a recertification application. After the 30-day grace period, the credential becomes inactive. If recertification is not awarded within one year of expiration, you must submit a new certification application and go through the full approval process again.
CWDP Endorsement Recertification Requirements
To successfully recertify, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Endorsement Professional Development Training Hours
Complete 20 hours of professional development over the three-year period.

NAWDP Membership
Maintain active NAWDP membership throughout the certification period.

Code of Ethics
Agree to and adhere to NAWDP’s Professional Code of Ethics and Practices.

CWDP Endorsement Recertification Process
This process is to recertify your endorsements only. You MUST also complete the CWDP Recertification Application to maintain your CWDP certification.
STEP 1:
Complete the CWDP Endorsement Recertification Application Form
Save your progress and resume work as your schedule allows. Once the application form is completed and submitted, you will receive a confirmation email that you have successfully completed the application, along with a PDF of the completed form. (NOTE: This does not complete the application submission process.)
STEP 2:
Submit Supporting Documentation
Upload your application documents in the designated file upload spaces on the submission page. Supporting documentation should be compiled into one single PDF file. Any single training of 10 hours or more must have a syllabus or outline to justify the hours.
STEP 3:
Pay the CWDP Endorsement Recertification Application Fee
You will be prompted for payment during your application process. Credit Card transactions may be completed online, and Checks or Money Orders should be made payable to NAWDP and mailed to the address on the bottom of the invoice. Your application will not be reviewed until payment is processed.
Please note: If you are completing recertification for multiple endorsements, each must have a separate application and separate payment link completed.
Application Fee
The CWDP recertification application fee is $75 and the endorsement recertification application fee is $25 per endorsement. CWDP and endorsement recertification fees are separate from your annual NAWDP membership dues, which must be maintained throughout your certification period.
Please note: All recertification application fees are non-refundable.
Review Timeline
Applications are reviewed monthly in the order they are received. Reviews begin the month following submission (e.g., applications submitted in September begin review in October)
Applicants will be notified if any documentation is missing and final status is communicated within 45 days of the start of the review cycle.
