What is your vision for the workforce development profession?

I see the workforce development profession as a driver of opportunity and systems change. The work begins at the frontline, helping people overcome barriers and gain skills that lead to meaningful employment. At the same time, workforce professionals connect communities, employers, and public funding by turning real outcomes into clear stories and data that inform policy and investment. At its best, workforce development strengthens economic mobility and builds stronger communities.

Do you have a particular interest area or passion in workforce development?

I am passionate about amplifying real impact at both the individual and systems level. I am motivated by opportunities to elevate the work being done on the ground, support the growth of current and emerging leaders, and strengthen organizational capacity so workforce systems can deliver results with consistency, integrity, and lasting impact.

Why do you want to serve on the Board?

I am interested in serving on the Board because I believe it is a meaningful platform to influence the workforce development industry in a broader and more strategic way. Board service provides an opportunity to help elevate effective practices, strengthen leadership across the field, and ensure the work being done at the local level is reflected in national development priorities.

What do you think is the biggest challege facing the profession today and how can NAWDP address that challenge?

One of the biggest challenges facing the workforce development profession is balancing innovation with compliance. Systems are under pressure to modernize technology, data use, and service delivery while operating within complex funding requirements and fragmented policies. At the same time, workforce organizations must strengthen leadership, retain talent, and manage the economic and workforce shifts that are underway.
