Members of the Board of Directors serve as volunteers without compensation or reimbursement of expenses. They contribute their time and resources to advance the profession of workforce development and are, at a minimum, expected to participate in the following:

  • National Meetings: Board members are expected to attend the Annual Conference, and if possible, the Youth Symposium. During these events, board members take an active role in presenting and monitoring workshops, as well as serving as ambassadors of the Board.
  • Committee Initiatives: Directors are expected to actively participate in at least one of NAWDP’s working committees in their effort to improve NAWDP programs and increase innovation in the profession.
  • Outreach and Engagement: Board members actively recruit and engage NAWDP members, provide feedback on legislative initiatives, and consistently monitor the needs of NAWDP members.
