The National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP) awards the Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP) credential and three Endorsements (Business and Employer Services, Job Seeker Services, and Management Services) affiliated with the core CWDP.

The CWDP and each Endorsement has a specific set of competency areas associated with the particular credential.

NEW ENDORSEMENT ADDED!

Coming in 2007

On August 19, 2006, The NAWDP Board of Directors approved a new Endorsement to the Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP) program.

The Youth Services Endorsement was developed in partnership with the National Collaborative on Workforce and Disability for Youth (NCWD/Youth) and the National Youth Employment Coalition (NYEC).  It is designed to recognize special knowledge, skills and abilities in 10 competency areas.  (Click HERE to view the 10 Youth Services Competency Areas).

NCWD/Y was funded by the US Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP).

Currently, Youth Services Endorsement reviewers are being recruited and trained. It is anticipated that persons holding a current CWDP may apply for the Youth Services Endorsement starting in the February 2007 review cycle.
